My spring break has officially started today I will enjoy sleeping not having to wake up hours before my class even starts just to get a parking spot. For once I can breathe without having to worry about major deadlines. Over the break I do not think I am going anywhere special. Really I just want to relax and clear my mind. I went to sleep like 6:30 in the morning knowing I had my conference with sutton at 9:00 then I had to take a test in my class it wasn't what I expected my professor made it seem like it was going to be really hard I guess she was trying to get everyone to pass the test. It is really nice out today. When I wake up from sleeping I am going to probrally eat something watch t.v. and just be LAZY you no why because it is spring break. Well thats all I have to say I will be back tomorrow with my second entry.
A blue law, in the United States and Canada, is a type of law designed to enforce moral standards, particularly the observance of Sunday as a day of worship or rest. Most have been repealed, declared unconstitutional or are simply unenforced, although prohibitions on the sale of alcoholic beverages, and occasionally almost all commerce, on Sundays are still enforced in many areas. This puzzles many non-Americans, given the supposed separation of church and state. Blue laws often prohibit an activity only during certain hours and there are usually exceptions to the prohibition of commerce, like grocery and drug stores. In some places blue laws may be enforced due to religious principles, but others are retained as a matter of tradition or out of convenience.
Hey everybody thought since I was not doing anything I should write a blog. So today only had one class today that was algebra. It was ok today my professor was 15 minutes late today so she rushed through everything cause she teaches at another college and has to leave. She did like atleast 6 problems then left I think most of the people in my class did not no what was going on including me. After she left i just waited for the supplemental instructor so she could help me with my homework it was simpler than what I expected so I got my math homework out of the way. AFTER I left i realized it was beautiful outside it was not cold and it was not hot it was good weather to me. This weather is crazy. I went to go pick up my sister from school then came home and went to sleep I was so tired. I went to sleep around 5:00p.m. woke up like 6:30p.m. ate bathed did my cs 1501 homework and now i am writing this blog. Well thats all i have to write about I will be back sometime this week.
The 1954 United States Supreme Court decision in Oliver L. Brown et.al. v. the Board of Education of Topeka (KS) et.al. is among the most significant judicial turning points in the development of our country. Originally led by Charles H. Houston, and later Thurgood Marshall and a formidable legal team, it dismantled the legal basis for racial segregation in schools and other public facilities. Brown v. Board of Education was not simply about children and education. The laws and policies struck down by this court decision were products of the human tendencies to prejudge, discriminate against, and stereotype other people by their ethnic, religious, physical, or cultural characteristics. Ending this behavior as a legal practice caused far reaching social and ideological implications, which continue to be felt throughout our country. The Brown decision inspired and galvanized human rights struggles across the country and around the world. The Brown decision initiated educational and social reform throughout the United States and was a catalyst in launching the modern Civil Rights Movement. Bringing about change in the years since the Brown case continues to be difficult. But the Brown v. Board of Education victory brought this country one step closer to living up to its democratic ideas. http://brownvboard.org/summary/
I think this law is great because as an african american i know have the opportunity to go to college without being harassed unlike when my grandparents while they were growing up. This law gives everybody the equal chance to go to school without being discriminated against. I think a lot of people come to America because of all the equal opportunities this country has and this one is the biggest I think in my opinion. A lot of countries today do not have equal schooling opportunities and I think that is awful. As long as a person puts out the time they should be able to go to school no matter how long they want. Anywayz I am so happy that I was born in this time period because I have so many opportunities and I intend to use them.

The purpose of the Federal Trademark Dilution Act (FTDA) is to protect famous trademarks from third party uses which, while not likely to confuse, nonetheless diminish the capacity of the mark to distinguish goods or services, or cause garnishment to the mark. The enactment of the FTDA was considered by many trademark owners to be long overdue. However, with a few particular exceptions, the FTDA has failed to live up to its potential, and has failed to provide owners of famous marks the protection that they rightly or wrongly anticipated. Much of the blame for this has been directed at the language of the statute that requires a plaintiff to show that the third party use at issue "causes dilution." This is in contrast to more traditional trademark infringement law, which focuses on marketplace protection.
I think this act is good because there are so many people who steal others work. Why not just do that work yourself and be proud that you have accomplished something in your life. Maybe people will think twice before stealing other peoples work if not they need to be put in jail. If we had a serious reprocussion for stealing people work maybe so many people in the world would stop.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Trademark_Dilution_Act
TODAY I DECIDED TO GET A HEAD START ON MY BLOGS BECAUSE THIS WEEK I HAVE A LOT OF ASSIGNMENTS TO DO. FOR PRESIDENTS DAY I AM DOING NOTHING BUT CATCHING UP ON MY SCHOOL WORK. Well thats all I have to write about today I think I am going to go get some lunch.
Lemon laws are United States state laws that remedies to consumers for cars that repeatedly fail to meet certain standards of quality and performance. These cars are called lemons. The federal lemon law also known as the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects citizens of all states. State lemon laws vary by state and may not necessarily cover used or leased cars. The rights afforded to consumers by lemon laws may exceed the warranties expressed in purchase contracts. Lemon law is the common nickname for these laws, but each state has different names for the laws and acts. In California, lemon laws cover anything mechanical, as do the federal lemon laws. The federal lemon law also provides that the warrantor may be obligated to pay your attorney fees if you prevail in a lemon law suit, as do most state lemon laws. Lemon laws are not limited to cars. There are RV lemon laws, boat lemon laws, motorcycle, wheelchair, and computer lemon laws. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemon_law
Im think this is a good law because so many people by cars from used car lots and in about a week they don't work. By having this law they are getting justice from those weasel carsalesmen. If they did not have this law I think there would serious problems. As a used car owner I dont want my car not working after a week of driving. I never heard of this law before until reading and a I think it is a good one. I dont think alot of people know about this law either. well thats it for this blog I have a ton of things to do bye.
In 1972 Title Ix also known today as the Pasty T. Mink Equal Opportunity In Education Act was legal. The amendment states that: "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance." Although the most common "public face" of Title IX is its impact on high school and collegiate athletics, the original document made no reference to athletics. The legislation covers all educational activities, and complaints under Title IX alleging discrimination in fields such as science or math education, or in other aspects of academic life such as access to health care and dormitory facilities, are not unheard of. It also applies to non-sport activities such as school bands and cheerleaders, as well as non-social fraternities/sororities, clubs and organizations. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Title_9 I am very happy they made this a law because as a female I am able to do the things I want to do and not be put down because of my sex. It shockes me that this amendment has only been around for 36 years and before that women were not allowed to participate in these activieties because of sex. This also benifits all the diffrent races we have in america to. Everyone by this law is allowed to participate in whatever club, sports, or raternities/sororities they want and I think that is great because everybody likes different things. I am happy that I was born into this generation despite all the negative things. There are so many opportunities out their and I know I wont be discriminated as highly like back in the past.
